🔥 Standing at the edge of Lake McKenzie with crystal clear water stretching out before you, the golden hour light filtering through the ancient angophora trees, you can almost hear the distant laughter and music that will soon fill Fraser Island this March!
📅 Event Details
The Fraser Island Festival is hitting the sands this year from March 15-17, 2025! This three-day celebration of the island’s incredible natural beauty and Indigenous culture is gonna be a ripper. The festival brings together local artists, musicians, and environmental experts for a weekend of workshops, guided walks, and cultural experiences. Last year’s event was heaps good, but this year they’ve gone and added even more activities!
🎉 What’s New This Year
They’ve introduced some brilliant new additions for 2025! There’s now a dedicated photography masterclass with renowned Australian landscape photographers who’ll teach you how to capture Fraser’s magic. The festival’s also expanded its Indigenous cultural program with traditional dance performances and bush tucker workshops. Plus, they’ve added a family-friendly zone with nature-based activities for the kids – perfect for families wanting to explore together!
📍 Location & Times
The main hub is at Happy Valley on Fraser Island’s western side, with activities spread across various iconic spots around the island. The festival kicks off Friday morning at 9am and runs through to Sunday evening with a special sunset ceremony. You’ll find food stalls, craft markets, and the main stage area all within walking distance of the main campground. Early risers can join sunrise yoga sessions at Eurong Beach!
