Just dropped! Parks Victoria has announced a massive $2.5 million upgrade to the Great Ocean Walk, specifically focusing on the stretch between Apollo Bay and Cape Otway. This ain’t your average path refresh mate – we’re talking new lookouts, improved boardwalks, and better accessibility for everyone to enjoy this ripper stretch of coastline!

The upgrades will include: β’ New viewing platforms at 3 prime whale spotting locations β’ 2km of upgraded boardwalk through the rainforest section β’ Better drainage to keep the trail drier in winter β’ Improved accessibility features for wheelchairs and prams β’ New interpretation signs sharing local Aboriginal history β’ Work starts in March 2026 and should be wrapped up by spring 2026
