Alright, here’s the goss! The much-loved Gold Coast Festival is officially locked in for this Spring. We’re talking a massive celebration of everything ocean and outdoors right in the heart of Surfers Paradise. It kicks off on September 20th, 2026, and runs through the weekend until the 22nd. Whether you’re into scuba diving, surfing, or just chilling by the water with a cold one, this is where you wanna be!
β What to Expect
This isn’t your average local fair, mate. They’ve gone all out this year! For the first time, there’s gonna be a dedicated underwater expo showcasing the latest scuba gear and dive techβperfect if you’re looking to upgrade your setup before summer. Plus, they’ve got live beachfront tunes, a massive seafood market featuring local catches, and guided eco-tours to explore the nearby waterways. If you’re keen on marine life, the wildlife rescue talks are gonna be ripper!
π Location & Times
The main hub is set up at the Surfers Paradise Foreshore, right near Kurrawa Park. Gates open at 9 AM each day, so rock up early to snag a good park. The festival runs until 6 PM Friday and Saturday, and winds up around 4 PM on Sunday. It’s super central, so you can easily duck back to your accommodation or grab lunch at one of the nearby cafes if you need a break from the sun.

Here’s the thingβSouth East Queensland in spring is stunning, but it can get busy! I’d seriously recommend booking your scuba sessions or eco-tours online before you rock up, as they fill up fast. Bring your sunnies, hat, and plenty of sunscreen. Also, keep an eye out for the ‘Sunset Sessions’ on Saturday night; last year’s was absolutely heaps good with local bands playing while the sun went down. Don’t miss it!
