Mark your calendars – Byron Bay Festival is coming!

🔥 The sun dips low over Cape Byron Lighthouse as the sound of waves crashes against the shore, and in the distance, the first notes of music begin to drift across the beach – that’s how you know the Byron Bay Festival is just around the corner!

📅 Festival Details

This year’s Byron Bay Festival is set to be a ripper, running from March 15-18, 2026! It’s heaps good news that they’ve extended it by a day compared to last year, giving us even more time to soak up the Aussie coastal vibes. The festival kicks off at 4 PM each day and goes right through ’til late, with main stage acts performing from 6 PM onwards.

🆕 What’s New for Visitors

They’ve really stepped up their game this season! The biggest change is the new ‘Eco-Village’ zone featuring sustainable workshops and local artisan markets. Plus, they’ve expanded the family-friendly area with more activities for the kids – perfect for families looking for a proper beachside getaway. The food scene has gotten an upgrade too, with heaps more plant-based options and Byron Bay’s famous seafood stalls.

🎟️ Tickets & Prices

Early bird tickets have already sold out (mate, they went quick this year!), but general admission tickets are still available for $189 for the full four days. Day passes are $75 each. They’ve introduced a new ‘Eco-Ticket’ option for $210 which includes a tree planted in your name – bloody good initiative if you ask me! Tickets are available through the official Byron Bay Festival website.

📍 Location & Getting Around

The festival is spread across multiple locations in and around Byron Bay, with the main hub at Jonson Park (2487). The beachfront stages are just a short walk from town, which is heaps convenient. From Sydney, it’s about a 9-hour drive or you can fly into Gold Coast Airport (1 hour away) and grab a shuttle. They’ve also improved the shuttle service this year, running more frequently from the car parks to the festival grounds.

💡 Tips & Warnings

✅ Book your accommodation NOW – Byron Bay gets bloody packed during festival time!
❌ Don’t try to drive into town on festival days – use the shuttle service instead
⚠️ The weather can be unpredictable – pack a rain jacket even if it’s sunny when you leave
✅ Get to the beach stages early to snag a good spot – they fill up quick!

🚀 Will you be there? 🚀
