🔥 What if I told you Noosa has some of the most epic adventures in Australia that most tourists completely miss? Here’s my ranked list of the top 7 experiences you’ve gotta try in 2026!
1️⃣ Noosa Everglades Kayaking
This has gotta be number one, no question! The ‘River of Mirrors’ is bloody magical – paddle through crystal-clear water reflecting the sky, spot heaps of birdlife, and find those secret swimming spots. I did this last arvo and the sunset over the water was unreal. Perfect for families and beginners too!
2️⃣ Noosa National Park Coastal Walk
The coastal track from Sunshine Beach to Noosa Heads is ripper! You’ll get stunning ocean views, spot dolphins if you’re lucky, and end up at those perfect little coves. Last weekend I spotted a koala munching on eucalyptus – proper Aussie moment! Allow at least 2-3 hours for the full walk.
3️⃣ Noosa Surf Lessons at Main Beach
Main Beach is the perfect spot for beginners to learn how to surf – the waves are gentle and there are heaps of good surf schools. I tried my first surf here last year and was standing up by the second lesson! The instructors are top-notch and make it heaps fun even if you’re not a natural.
4️⃣ Kayaking with Dolphins
This one’s a bit of a splurge but totally worth it! Join a guided kayaking tour at sunrise and you’ll likely paddle alongside pods of dolphins. I did this last season and had about 20 dolphins swimming right under my kayak – mind-blowing experience! Best done in the cooler months.
5️⃣ Noosa Farmers Market Adventure
Every Sunday morning (rain or shine!), the Noosa Farmers Market is buzzing with locals and visitors. Grab some brekkie, sample local produce, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. I always load up on macadamia nuts and fresh mangoes – bloody delicious!
6️⃣ Stand-Up Paddleboarding at Laguna Bay
For a more relaxed water adventure, paddleboarding at Laguna Bay is heaps good. The water is usually super calm, especially in the morning, and you can take your time exploring the coastline. I’ve even seen sea turtles while out paddling – proper magic!
7️⃣ Hastings Street Scavenger Hunt
Don’t just wander Hastings Street – make it an adventure! Create your own scavenger hunt looking for unique shops, hidden laneway art, and the best coffee spots. Last month I discovered this tiny gelato place that’s now my absolute fave – proper hidden gem!
