Alright folks, hold onto your helmets! The Great Ocean Road team has just announced their massive Spring 2025 rollout, and it’s heaps good! They’re launching three new mountain biking trail networks spanning from Torquay to Port Campbell, plus upgraded visitor facilities at all major lookouts. I got the sneak peek last week, and trust me, you’re gonna wanna clear your calendar for this one!

Here’s the bloody good stuff: First up, they’ve added 50km of new MTB trails ranging from beginner-friendly green loops to advanced black diamond descents with ocean views! The new Anglesea Bike Hub is gonna be sick – with a pump track, skills area, and bike hire. Plus, they’ve finally fixed those dodgy parking situations at the Twelve Apostles with a new 200-space car park and shuttle service. Oh, and get this – they’re opening night tours of the Grotto for the first time ever!
π When & Where
Everything kicks off September 1st, 2025, just in time for peak wildflower season! The MTB trails will be open daily from dawn till dusk, with the Anglesea Hub operating 8am-6pm. The new shuttle service runs every 30 minutes from the Apollo Bay visitor centre. I’d recommend hitting it mid-week if you can avoid the crowds – weekends are gonna be chockers, especially during the school hols.
π° Pricing
Good news on the wallet front! Most of the trail access is free (you beauty!), though some premium guided experiences will set you back $89-150. Bike hire at the Anglesea Hub starts at $45 for half-day, $75 for full day. The new parking at Twelve Apostles is $5 per vehicle (worth every bloody cent to avoid that old nightmare). Annual trail passes are $99 if you’re planning multiple visits – smart move if you live in Melbourne!
