Australia Festival 2025 is set to be absolutely massive! Running from March 15-23 across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, this year’s festival promises to be the biggest yet with over 200 events celebrating everything Aussie – from bush tucker tastings to outdoor adventure workshops. The main hub will be at Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden, but there are satellite events happening all over the place!
β What’s New for 2025
Bloody hell, they’ve added some ripper new features this year! First up is the ‘Adventure Alley’ – a whole section dedicated to outdoor gear demos and guided experiences. There’s also a new ‘Sunset Sessions’ series with live music at iconic outdoor spots. And get this – they’ve introduced a sustainable camping zone where you can actually stay overnight right in the heart of the festival grounds! Perfect for us outdoor enthusiasts who wanna make a weekend of it.
π Location & Times
Main festival site: Royal Botanic Garden, Mrs Macquaries Rd, Sydney NSW 2000. Gates open daily from 10am to 10pm, with some special sunrise yoga sessions starting at 6am for the early birds. The Adventure Alley runs from 11am-7pm daily, and the Sunset Sessions kick off at 5:30pm. Weekend sessions tend to be busier, so if you can swing it, arvo visits during the week are heaps good for avoiding crowds.

Right, here’s my pro tip after going last year – download the official app ASAP! They’ve added a custom itinerary builder this year, which is a game-changer. Also, bring your own water bottle – they’ve got free refill stations everywhere. If you’re planning multiple days, grab the festival pass ($89 vs $35 daily) – it’s way better value and gets you priority booking for the popular adventure workshops. Bookings for the guided experiences open next month, so set those reminders!
